Heading West

Louder starts his trip west along the Oregon Trail. His trip starts in December with temperatures in single digits and the oxen seem to have turned to bronze.  This image is near the town of Westmoreland Kansas.  Plenty of room to camp.
Annie was gracious enough to take this photo even though she did comment on the 20 mile an hour wind out of the North as being rather cold.
